This remarkable space, lovingly stewarded by the same family for five generations, offers a rare connection to nature through its organic, sustainable ethos.
Set on 40 hectares of unspoiled land, Companhia das Culturas is surrounded by a mosaic of cork oaks, carob trees, acorns, almonds, and fig groves, creating an atmosphere of rustic serenity. The landscape flows seamlessly into the neighboring Castro Marim Nature Reserve, just 1.5 kilometers from the pristine Praia Verde beach, 4 kilometers from the historic village of Castro Marim, and 6 kilometers from the protected wetlands of Ria Formosa.
Here, life unfolds in harmony with the land. Meals are crafted daily from the farm’s vegetable gardens, dry orchard agriculture, and neighboring producers, offering an authentic taste of the Algarve. Every ingredient tells a story of sustainability, respect for the environment, and a deep-rooted connection to local traditions.
At Companhia das Culturas, simplicity is celebrated. With no televisions or background music to distract, the retreat invites you to embrace the sounds of nature, the rustle of trees, and the rhythm of your own thoughts. Wi-Fi is available in communal spaces, allowing you to stay connected, if you choose.
The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with a minimalist take on country decor, mattresses are of high quality and bed linen is 300-400 thread count and towels 500-600 GSM toiletries are provided by their sister company 8950.
